Some time ago I blogged about the Acctinfo2.dll tool and how unfortunate it was that a 64-bit version was not available. Well, the good news is that you can now download a 64-bit version from here:
I have tested the DLL on both Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 and it seems to work well. However, please note this version is completely unsupported! Download at use entirely at your own risk.
Tony
I just loaded this into 2008 R2 and it seems like it takes a long time for me to open an OU afterwards. Did you notice this?
Each time I click on an OU I may need to way a minute or more for it to respond. If I unregister the dll and remove the display specifier. Browsing the AD structure is lightning quick.
Just curious. Thanks
I just redid the installation process and now it’s working better.
I came across your article and then did a little more research. I found a new article by Microsoft, it appears Microsoft has put that functionality in a new tool called Active Directory Administrative Center
The article is “You probably don’t need ACCTINFO2.DLL” and you can find it here:

I’ve just tried to register the dll file on my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 machine, and regsvr32 failed to register the dll file
I also tried to register it in win7 x64 and got regsvr32 failed to register dll error msg.
